Author's note: I wasn't going to write this AU, but I ended up finishing a snippet because the notes I had for Miss Pauling's pokémon team were cute. (And then it kept going and going.)

Again, warnings of animal abuse (er, pokémon abuse) with a happy ending. Oh, and this is the part when I backflipped away from trying to be canon compliant. Writing pokémon battles and trying to keep a balance between actually making them interesting and making them accurate had me just toss accuracy out for an interesting scene.
