I promised Melly feel better fic, and I promised there would be no pears. I was only able to keep one of these promises.
Joshua licked the spoon, moaning in a seriously indecent way as he did. Neku looked away, or at least tried to look away. Joshua was never ignored for long, because he'd needle and needle until he got a rise.
Neku could see it all from his peripheral view. Stupid little things which were driving him up the wall, and making his pants way too tight. Pink tongue showed between his lips, a smug, self-satisfied and oh so suggestive look as he licked the pieces of fruit.
"Mmmm. I'm in paradise... Don't you want a bite, Neku?"
Neku glowered at him. They'd been over this. In fact, the moment he'd let out that he thought pears were disgusting, Joshua had taken to teasing him about it whenever possible.
"No."
"Are you sure?" Joshua persisted. He leaned on the table, so it was like the offering wasn't so much the hated fruit, but Joshua himself. Neku blushed despite himself. At this angle, he could see the collar bones and pale skin in the triangular opening of Joshua's shirt.
"Really, Neku. You should just give it a try. It's delicious...hee hee."
"I'm going to get another drink," Neku said, too loudly as he pushed himself away from the table.
Joshua giggled. As Neku got into line, he looked back one more time to the table. Joshua was smiling so knowingly, like he'd already won the war.
And maybe he had.
