bonnefoisProtip: if you have to steal items, phrases, or scenes from another pairing to garnish your pairing, then your pairing doesn't have much to stand on. Also, it pisses off the shippers of said pairing, and generally makes you look like a jackass. "Look at my pair, and now I will paste on everything from another pairing! Aren't they so canon?"
This is tenfold if you're stealing from a gay pairing to a straight pairing, or if it's stolen from a pairing involving a female Because no matter who you are, or what you ship, it will always have the stench of "now it's not gay and so it's better!" and "it doesn't have a woman, so it's better!"
