bonnefoisAugust 13: I am already king - Ryoma gen. - on thy white steed.
[YES I AM TAKING VERY INTERESTING INTERPRETATIONS ON THESE THEMES.
And because I took too farkin’ long to work on this, drabble. Kinda incoherent, but It had to be pulled out in 30 minutes. ]

The air seemed brittle in this condition. Infused with the cold, his breath made clouds of perspiration rise and fall. Fluid. Turning into invisible vapor. Rain simpered with a thrush as it his the ground. So this is emptiness, he mused.
The skies were overcast, brushed over, a paltry grey aura that seemed to reflect his current mood.
A mere break, a mere taste in nostalgia. That was all. He just wished to see this place again.
The courts were silent now. Long gone. He wasn’t sure what he had expected, it wasn’t this.
He was silent, wordless, voiceless. The net dragged on the cracked pavement, Blowing in the wind, it’s frayed edges like an long unbandaged wound. The green lines were faded from sun and age, the white edges were nearly indiscernible.
A king returning to his homeland, only to find it no longer existed.
It had been years since he left. Now he wondered why he’d returned.
There was nothing left to return to.
