Really, it was inevitable. Even Umeda knew that, even as he fought and tested the bonds.
He didn't believe in those cliches–love conquers all, love is all you need. Even if his parents had a happy marriage, he'd seen the wounds love could leave. He learned this young.
But Akiha was anything if not persistent, uear after year proving to be the most infuriating, determined suitor. Until even Umeda couldn't call him 'the stalker' or 'the roommate I never wanted'
Because it was the realization (one that made him sullen for days) that he wanted this.
That maybe he wanted to be romanced instead of fucked, that maybe he wanted back rubs and that Akiha might not even be that bad.
It wasn't a realization he felt like sharing with Akiha. But Akiha, in all his irritating perceptive ways, would just smile and smile.
Because he knew what you idiot had come to mean.
