Title: as of yet untitled
Day/theme: 5 . 20 | because I dream of her too often
Series: xxxHolic
Character/Pairing: Clow/Yuuko
Rating: PG?
Word count: 164
Author's note:

"Is it enjoyable in my dreams?" he murmurs. "You seem to spend so much time there."

"It's as one would expect. Self-satisfied, entirely too dreary and pretentious. However, it never runs out of wine," she retorts. In dreams her dress looks like a second skin, like the tight emerald scales of a mermaid with ruffles fanning out as fins and gills.

"But of course," he muses. "Any house with a wine cellar as fine as this one would surely draw you near."

She just smirks, and a lovely smirk it is. In this arched dwelling of dreams, she rests her head and lives in endless splendor. He thinks, through the haze that there is no such thing as too much when it comes to this. Their hands reach out through the spiderweb connections of hitsuzen, never quite touching.

Oooooh that last line gave me chills. Whole thing was poetic and lovely though.

♥ thank you!

Oh! Like, every time I mean to tell you this, but have you ever read The God Box by Alex Sanchez? If not, you might enjoy it. Check out the amazon summary, it may very well be relevant to your interests. I certainly enjoyed it.

/random blabbing. It starts a bit slow, but I found myself pulled in and loving the characters really quick. Miguel (The Boy who changes everything for Paul) is really adorable and quirky. Paul is adorable too in the 'I want to tousle this kid's hair and give him a hug' way. I like its offbeat look at religion, and how almost all the characters were never relegated to the sorts of "homophobic monsters" some gay books delegate them too. (except maybe the icy queen bitch cheerleader -- but truth in stereotypes here every place has one.)

I ramble. But I really loved this book to pieces and have been poking at a reread.
