Total number of fics: 193. That’s counting multiparters as ‘one’ fic. Actually counting chapters separately comes to 207 It goes higher with some small works I seem to have misplaced, I know there’s at least 2 I gave out as comment!drabbles but I forgot to save them, apparently.

Longest oneshot: It’s Fate, 6,189 words.

Longest overall piece: Sense Datum at 12,662 words in five parts. It was a oneshot collection though.
Every Happy End and The Lost Children come in second and third at 9,000+ and 7,100+ as some of the first ‘true’ WIPs I’ve tried in years.


Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you'd predicted?
Way, way more. Here I thought it was just going to be a little over 100. Maybe 105 as a guesstimate, 125 at the very most.

What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January 2008?
Swordspoint, as I didn’t know about it. And Avatar. I really didn’t see myself writing that at all, but then Ty Lee and Azula were all lesbian together and I just had to write that hotness– I admit the more I watch the more I want to write utterly filthy smut for them.

What's your favorite story of the year? Not the most popular, but the one that makes you happiest.
No way to choose one exactly, but these are the ones I’ve taken most pride in and genuinely enjoyed writing.

The Winter of Our Discontent, Tachycardia, Laying Siege probably more but I'm tired. -- Every Happy End and It’s Fate get guilty pleasure notes.

Do you have any fanfic or prolific goals for the New Year?
Finish the WIPs I’ve got going. Simple Pleasures and Cat’s Cradle are nearing completion... Every Happy End still has a few chapters yet and The Lost Children has quite a few more to go. I’m thinking EHE might get about 5-7 depending on how the plot swings and TLC is slated for 10 chapters even.

Other than that, there’s plenty of stories I’d like to get off the ground. I’ve got Christmas fics to finish, still which means there should be no shortage of IkeSoren in the next year. There’s a project called The Courtship of Dragons, an AU wherein Soren was raised with the dragons of Goldoa and attempts to court Ike – except Ike doesn’t realize the nuance of dragon culture and is rather oblivious to this. It’s fun to work with and I’m thinking it won’t be too long a project. Continuances and followups to It’s Fate Several Aus to help with the batshit AU brigade.

Oh yeah, and I still haven’t gotten Love & Mathematics up despite working on it off and on all year. That really must be rectified.

On the other fandom notes: Azula/Ty Lee keeps calling a siren song I cannot resist. There should be some Tales of Symphonia fic I desperately wanted to get to this year but failed. Also more Golden Sun fic

It looks like I’m never leaving the Tenipuri fandom (which has turned into The TezuFuji fandom to me) I’ve still got some unfinished things I’m dying to play with there.

The dragon AU is fun to write! :D In the inception it was pure humor but it started getting serious when I penned it down. Dragon!Prince Soren is not impressed by Ike at first. Mostly he thinks Ike is an idiot who has horrific tactics and a reasonable amount of charisma :D It's fun to play around with a Soren who doesn't adore Ike from the get go.
