49. adore | morning lullabies |
inspiration drawn largely from morning lullabies by ingrid michaelson basically, Ammie went IKE/SOREN. NAO. D:< and I complied. 1/8 of the "I'll match you in drabbles" thing. Written a couple days back.
For once, Ike woke first. Dawn was just creeping around the edges, slants of color in the dark, the stars and moon fading backwards, deep into the growing light.
Usually Soren would have been up for hours. Already taking stock and inventory, planning out each moment, as if he could hold up the world by mere logic, or at least their corner of the world. All of it run as clockwork, strokes of pen and shuffle of paper.
In his sleep Soren is peaceful, his small frame curled into a fetal position, covers slipping from him, showing the length of his bare back. Ike pulls the covers back up. Soren turns over, curling into him
“Mnn....Ike...” he murmurs sleepily.
Ike cups his head, fingers slipping between soft tresses. He can never get away with this in daytime, Soren will scold him, saying that it would only cause problems, that they must remain secret. He’d lecture even as color rose to his pale cheeks, ever so lightly resting there.
But behind closed doors, stolen moments, Soren is his entirely, with every day more and more barriers falling, falling with clothes, pooled at their feet.
Days are filled with blood, the wearing down of losing life, taking life, it is night he lives for.
All too often, morning comes too soon.

character/pairing: Soren, light implied IkeSoren.
a/n: this goes in the “I’ll match yours” drabble-a-thon for Ammie which is currently 2/8 unless she guesses more of anon meme ♥
Soren wakes long before dawn. Cold fingers of sleep still hold, voices shapes and reason all stripped void in dreams. He shivers in the cool almost-dawn air.
And so another day begins.

Soren sits, desk metered inches away, his quill is posed to hit paper, reports coming into focus.
His tea is lukewarm by now, and yet, his mind is elsewhere, two rooms away, spaces and breath of sleep. Blue hair falling over the pillow, covers thrown half off. He is tempted to leave his post and open the door, slowly, soundlessly to check. Soren has mastered the art of slipping into Ike’s room undetected, most of all by Ike himself.
Morning slips in, bits of light and warmth falling on stone floors.
It feels like hope.

character/pairing: ...take a wild guess. First guess doesn’t count. TITLE SHOULD BE A BIG WHOPPING CLUE. (spoilers: it’s akiume)
rating: usual pg-13 fare.
Of course, the axiom goes “never fight with stupid people, they’ll just drag you down and beat you with superior experience”. Umeda knows this all too well.
For Umeda, this takes far more literal terms, ‘drag you down’ of course being ‘being dragged to the bed’ and ‘beat you with superior experience’ having much more to do with those little things which Umeda utterly despises Akiha for being so damn good at.
“You’re so beautiful when you’re angry,” Akiha whispers in between kisses. “Even more than usual.”
Akiha’s hands are skillful, buttons are undone, clothes pulled off with such ease.
It’s hard to fight with stupid people, especially when the stupid person has his hand down your pants.

Shinion’s POV is surprisingly hard to write. Mostly because he’s such an asshole, I can never tell if I’m putting enough bastard into my writing XD And he’s slightly less assholeish around Rolf and Gatrie, but not so much that he’s “crankypants-with-a--secret-heart-of-gold” like say, Raven.

Shinion wasn’t really surprised when Gatrie came running with tales of his gorgeous new blond love, it only happened about every other damn day, and after a while they just started to blend together. Not that he had ever really cared that much in the first place about the latest “lovely goddess ” of the moment, after a while he tuned Gatrie out. Though he did catch “blond” and “gave her chocolates” somewhere in between the blah-blah-blahs.
It was later when he was softening cut rods for bow making at the river that he first saw the “mysterious blond”. She was following close on the heels of Ilyana, a few steps behind, looking very much like a cat stalking its unwary prey.
Shinion did have to commend his friend on taste, she had a fine set, great legs and a killer ass.
Ilyana bent down for a drink from the river, she wobbled slightly and moaned as she got up from her kneeling position again.
“...so hungry...”
“Aren’t you the cute one~?” the blonde purred. She leaned nearer to Ilyana and brought out a bag of chocolates from behind her back. “Here, take these..some random man gave them to me”
Ilyana’s eyes widened to the size of small saucers. “For me? ..can I really eat it?”
“Only if you let me help you~”
Shinion then watched as the blond fed them, one by one to a waiting Ilyana who moaned in ecstasy at the taste of each one.
It was one of the hottest things he’d ever seen.
They both left together, and his mind only filled the gaps too well with all sorts of nice images.
Later on, Gatrie sought him out, and was near bursting with excitement.
“Did you meet her yet? Isn’t she great? She even hinted at getting a ring, I just know she’s the one!” Gatrie said.
“Yeah. About that. I think she’s all wrong for you,” Shinion replied.
“What do you mean? She adores me! Just the other day she seemed so happy for the flowers I gave her!”
So that was where the flowers she gave Nephenee came from, Shinion thought.
“Listen, you don’t have the right equipment for her.”
“But, I can buy it at Muston’s, right? Should I go for Steel or Silver? Ooh, Silver, she’ll definitely be impressed by that!”
It was about then that Shinion gave up. Some things people just have to learn for themselves.

So far, there's Fire Emblem 7 (which was simply titled "Fire Emblem" and is probably a v. good place to start) 8 (The Sacred Stones. Most everyone considers this the illegitimate child, but I actually started here) which are on GBA, and Path of Radiance for GC and Radiant Dawn (sequel to POR) on Wii. I love 9&10 best, because it had the deepest. Also, it had the most lesbian content, and some of the most blatant slash I've ever seen. Ike and Soren are the closest guyfriends since Touya and Yukito. (that's who this icon is. Ike = Blue haired hero dude. Soren = his close friend and
lovertactician.)I can provide you with some links, but they'll have to be in another post or via email/aim. I can't help with POR/RD, but I can highly encourage you and say it's very worth getting?
It will be awesome, especially as Umeda will be so incredibly cranky over this. Even more than usual, but the idiot won, damn him. XD
