fucking hell, LJ's doing it again.

My god, how could they ban Ponderosa?

update: posts from elaboration

and Ponderosa121 with the pics they were banned for (neither appears to be extremely underage, if at all)

What an outrage, seriously. (Not only this, they're making it harder to get a headcount via the new policy)

keep posted at FANDOMTOSSED at GJ

this is LJ's official stance:

lj_biz post details it

CLARIFICATION: Not all content describing underage sexuality is in violation of our policies (or of United States law). Rather, using LJ to distribute "obscene" content (as defined by the Miller Test) is illegal. If it qualifies as obscene, and if it involves minors (people under the age of 18), then it's not allowed.

So basically, even a transcript of Dawson's Creek could get you banned? THEY WERE UNDERAGE AND THEY MADE OUT OH MY GOD NO.

As for me? 99% of what I write is barely G. Still, all writing is going to my FF.net account, the porn to my shiny new AFF.net account.

...I never thought I'd see the day was ff.net was more reasonable than LJ. Seriously.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go check through my fic.

...oh, fucking hell. What is up with them? I'm not going to leave, but it's going to make me pretty mad if they delete people I know. >:/

I know =/ I thought this was over! they said they wouldn't target fanfics and that they were sorry for going all OMGWITCHHUNT on us >/

Also, I just bought a fucking permanent account-- as long as you, Kenzie, CFUD, etc. don't leave, I doubt I'm going anywhere, but even so, good people are leaving because of this shit. Fandom on Livejournal is going to lose some really great people because of this, and that's beyond alarming and really, really wrong.

*hugs* I probably won't leave unless it gets really bad, but I am taking down my fic -- however, maybe you can get a refund for the Pernamant account? I know a lot of people are demanding one, if it gets too bad...

*huuuug* I really hope it doesn't get that bad-- taking down fic sounds like a good idea just for precautionary reasons, though. If it does get that bad, I may demand a refund, but as long as CFUD sticks around with everyone intact, I'll most likely be staying. If you leave, though, I'll get whatever you have, too. ♥

*hugs back, again XD* Yeah, me too.

Actually, I feel bad because you're one of the people who really doesn't go for porn -- they're trying to make out most of us as freaky pedophiles, but by their standards, (18 only) most all of teen dramas would be banned oO

anyways! I hope it doesn't get that bad D': I'd miss poking around LJ with you ~

*cuddle!* We all do, I guess. ♥

Yeah, they do seem to be overlooking the bit where very few people are actually pedophiles. Most of them are women, ages 16 - 30, writing things they find cute or hot or fitting or hilarious or whatever. Just because we write about boys liking boys, sometimes underage, doesn't mean that we are about to start molesting children. Slightly different thing! Besides, were I suddenly to write porn about teenage girls, I wouldn't be a pedophile at all. I AM A TEENAGE GIRL. What the hell, LJ!

Same here. D: Silly SixApart.

That's really terrible! I read about that on another community as well, and I couldn't believe livejournal was going along with it. Livejournal has always been rather liberal on content and respectful to the privacy of their users--especially those who have locked journals. It troubles me someone who is fifteen and details having sexual intercourse in his or her journal with another minor could get in trouble. I consider livejournals diaries so I definitely feel like there is a big violation of privacy here.

...And this is why I have a GJ. -sighs-
I hardly ever write things under PG-13. And no, I do not care if they are over the legal age of sixteen. Frankly, I think I might soon become one of the many who make a permanent exodus over to GJ.

Same with me D: I'd leave them entirely, but I like keeping in touch with my lj friends, and LJ has better communities than GJ. If this keeps up, I might spend more tiem at GJ though. Or Insanejournal, which many people have mentioned.

|On another note. Sunao! ♥
