Summary: Just because Scout managed to win Miss Pauling over doesn't mean Scout's self-improvement stops. Convinced that the way to impress Miss Pauling further is to study hard and finally graduate from high school, the rest of the mercenaries and Scout head on an adventure to achieve he never imagined possible: a high school degree.
Author's notes: in talks with people who worked at Valve, it was revealed that in the original drafts, Expiration Date had all the mercs helping Scout and Miss Pauling date. Also it focused on more than just Scout's bucket list, and all of the mercenaries. However, this was cut for time.

This is set right after Expiration Date, thus before the MVM or any of the current era, etc/whatever. Also, established relationship. And canon-typical gore.
