Dec. 7th, 2012 11:32 amthis just in: you don't have to actually pit characters against each other. You can like both without judging them or tearing them down.

and that is the healer for the last two discs
who is actually my favorite character and the most hated one in the fandom
Me:
awww, why?
the usual hate on the healer chick?
SirValkyrie:
No it is because she replaces the healer chick. Miranda (the second girl) is actually a high ranking military official, speaks her mind, is loyal in a tough love kind of way to her country and replaces Shana (the first girl) who was the stereotypical healer chick personality
SirValkyrie
basically they hate Miranda for being a "bitch" and replacing Shana
Me:
(Sadface)
SirValkyrie
I honestly like both girls
Me:
yeah
I hate how fandoms seem to think liking one invalidates liking the other
though, wow
if it were a modern day fandom
everyone would be hating on Shana and loving Miranda
and saying that Miranda is the "feminist option" and that Shana is a step back for all feminism and a sexist figure
SirValkyrie:
That is silly. All four girls are awesome in their own way and reflect different completely awesome types of people.
Me:
exactly. But modern day fandoms are really throwing nice, shy girls under the bus and holding up stronger girls as the only option
which is :/
SirValkyrie:
just cause a girl is nice and shy doesn't mean she is weak
Me:
I want to draw sparkly hearts around that message
that and
a girl doesn't have to be physically strong to be a strong character
SirValkyrie:
correct
