His world is painted in black and crimson and sallow yellow, the color of nightmares which are memories and memories which are nightmares.

And he dreams of peeling away skin, of making blood spring, gush from smooth orifices,
he will carve out the redemption from blood to forgive the sins of blood.

This is blood against blood, brother against brother.

His brother taught him everything. From the day he could walk he followed in Itachi’s footsteps.
He taught him how to fight, how to hold a kunai and how to dodge attacks just so, how to read footprints of animals, people. How to read emotions and facial expressions, how to watch others and successfully gain untold information.

Then Itachi taught him how to hate. And Itachi taught him well.

They don’t know where he came from, though rumors, tellings, have sprung up like weeds, choking through ripe gardens after a downpour.

All that is known is that one day he appeared, stealing from the aristocratic Hikari family with a careless smirk and capturing every girl’s heart without even trying.

He walks with a proud swagger, this Dark, he is the unknown, the mysterious one who comes and worms his way into hearts, into well spoken tales and legends, the facts just so silhouetted by retellings and just painted with fantasy.

Is he even human, that phantom thief ?

He has gone into the realm of myth, legend. Each tale makes him more unreal, more of a monster, less of a man, less of a being, more of a thing.

He steals their hearts, their captivation, their thoughts and minds.

Then he disappears into the shadows, turning to legend and shadow.

Until later, another incarnation springs up in the night.

Thank you~ I'm so-so on Sasuke, I used to dislike him a lot, I still don't really *like* him that much, but I guess I understand why he did what he did. I still want to thwap him on the head at times.

But to me it screamed Uchiha!ness, and my imoutochan loves it so I wanted to do it for her. I'm still shaky on the characterization, I haven't read Naruto in so long @_@


It's fine, I know how that is, I'm constantly staying up and reading things when I should be sleeping~
