Some fucking rando: you are a deplorable porn addict and all that is wrong with this society. One day you will realize how vile you are and read REAL BOOKS.

And they try and act like it's so ~lefty~ and not like acting like, Tradcath on main with a (purportedly) feminist hat.

I'm so tired of feminism being so like, Catholic on main, freaking out about vanilla romance novels but like, in a ~feminist~ way. Shaming women for consuming vanilla fucking romance novels and calling them porn addicts is not fucking feminist! It's not leftist! It's the old clothes that show these people have serious internalized misogyny and religious trauma and are acting like they unlearned it. They didn't! They are acting like literal old church ladies gasping at The Audacity Of The Womens To Read The Romance Novel!

I will allow that if you have concerns about minors getting into dark romance or just don't like dark romance, okay! Though I don't see any there. Most of them weren't even that kinky. They But this isn't even "women shouldn't have kinks" it's "women shouldn't have any impure thoughts or any of the sexual desires. I say this not because of God, but because of Feminism. Because it's feminist to call a random person reading books evil because they might contain The Sex. Yes, shaming women for...reading vanilla romance??? is very feminist now."

I hate that this shit has taken over the internet and no matter how many times people point out that these "progressives" are just conservatives under a rainbow hat, it doesn't stop and these assholes will continue to go out of their way to make it everyone else's problem. And people support it and encourage it and just. These people seriously need to touch grass.

I genuinely feel like, it's people who rebelled from extreme far right parents but forgot to unlearn all the slutshaming so they're just..acting like a Tradcath without the actual reasoning for it. So it's like "extreme conservative women shaming but...feminist???"

Yeah, there's more to rebelling than going "screw this I'm outta here" and reading liberal texts/getting into yaoi/writing lesbians kissing.

(Unlearning things is HARD, too. Like, it's a process and you have to keep reminding yourself not to fall back into old patterns. I started CBT last year and my file of things to unlearn and consider is over 40 pages.)
