Random Akiha/Umeda idiocy written in advance, not even 100 words D:
Title: parting is such sweet sorrow
Day/Theme: August 14th / And my grief at parting from you is like that of the turtle-dove, [...]
Series: HanaKimi
Character/Pairing: Akiha/Umeda
Rating: at least in the PG-13 region
full theme under cut
And my grief at parting from you is like that of the turtle-dove,
which brings pleasure to the hot listener, retired in a thickly-leaved
tree from the heat of summer, like a singer behind a curtain.
There are days when Umeda regrets ever getting a phone, and especially sharing the telephone number with his family members, and of course – the idiot. At any odd hours of the day
Ignoring it only made them call back every two seconds. (He had actually timed it. They did call Every. Two. Seconds.)
Tonight he was settling in for a through reading of the papers when the accursed thing rang. Cursing, he picked it up.
“O, how my heart longs to hear from you, it throbs like the –”
Umeda hung up.
Two seconds later, it rung again.
“But senpai! I thought you liked Regency!”
“You obviously misunderstood. I said ‘idiocy’” Umeda replied, and hung up again.
Approximately three seconds later it rung again.
“What?”
“Senpai likes me~”
Umeda promptly hung up again, and this time he pulled out the telephone cord for good measure.
