Echoes, spoilers, no discourse. Neato.
Huh, so if Jesse dies, Kamui basically gets his ending, right down to the founder and nickname.
Kamui
Intrigued by Jesse’s idea, Kamui helped to found a kingdom of mercenaries, and lived there happily for a time. In the end, however, his wanderlust prevailed—one day he went for a stroll and simply vanished, never to be seen again.
(If Jesse died)
Kamui established a new kingdom of, and for, mercenaries in what was once Grieth’s territory. Relations with Valentia were favorable, with Kamui often aiding the king in times of need. In later life, his efforts earned him fame and respect as “the Steel Amidst the Sand.”
and Jesse's:
Jesse
After successfully founding a mercenary kingdom in Grieth’s former land, Jesse then proved successful at ruling it. In times of strife, he worked with Alm to secure peace. Tales of his valor are told even now, in which he’s reverentially called “the Steel Amidst the Sand.”
I usually ignore the sad endings because I never kill off characters even if I don't like them, but this one is really interesting plot wise.
Other than the note of Kamui and Jesse really needed supports, this intriguing for Kamui because Kamui is a carefree jackass who is canonly challenges Anna's love for the most money-hungry/in love with money character. He legit has lines like "I'm just in it for the money" as attack lines, etc, etc. I say it with love, but Kamui's a douche LOL. I mean daamn his line if Valbar dies when you recruit him has him complaining that Valbar was a fool to get killed because who's gonna pay him now??!?
So, anyways, founder!Kamui/Leon??? Interesting dynamic!!
Edit: Also, if Jesse dies, Saber doesn't get the ending where he goes to the mercenary desert city and instead hangs around to work with Alm and rebuild around there, huh!
