Also their A support is just needlessly angsty with the "oh our class differences will keep us apart" when the ending suggests that all of Renais would've been on board with them hooking up. Usually when the citizens object to a marriage it's stated outright (L'Arachel and Ephraim, Eliwood and Fiora, Eliwood and Lyn, Heath and Guy leaving Priscilla because they didn't feel worthy of her).
S/E does have a lot of tropes I like (royal/retainer, pining, crushes, loyalty kink) and is aesthetically pleasing, but the A support and fandom killed it for me.
