Hunk/Shay: B: It’s really cute. It gets hit by being ignored by the show a bit. Also The OT3 name for Pidge/Hunk/Shay is Punk Rock. How cool is that for a ship name?

B: it's really cute. Mai/Zuko I liked the canon ATLA ships + Tyzula. I think them getting together via a comic instead of actually on screen kind of hurt their likability for a lot of people. Which sucks because they were cute.

Tibarn Reyson: A+: OTP.

Kjelle/Severa: A: I love it. Severa is a femslash bicycle, lol. She goes good with so many of them. Lucina, Kjelle, Camilla...

I pretty much love every Sumia ship. Like the only one I don't love as much is Frederick but that's only in comparison to her others, it's still super cute.

Sadly, Cynthia doesn't look as good with his hair. She looks better with light colors.

You said a Genocide route wasn't necessary, but I still feel like maybe I didn't get enough optional lore or something. I just need to go wiki or youtube diving, lol.

Though Asriel/Frisk's Pacifist route stuff is...so many tears. "You were my best friend." ;_;

hmm... most of the Chara Lore TM is the fairytale you hear about them and asriel during pacifist/neutral, the video tapes in the true lab (which are technically missable but i think most people still see those), the conversation you can have with asriel during the endgame walkaround if you haven't yet cleared the end credits, and the conversation you have with flowey if you start up the game again after clearing true pacifist. the last two are i think the ones that people miss the most often.

uhhhhh no mercy-specific stuff that has additional chara information are: flowey's new home monologue that replaces the fairytale (which tells you a LOT about asriel also), chara's route-specific narration/flavor text for everything in new home, and chara's talks with the player after you complete the route. most of this stuff can already be inferred just from true pacifist tho.

imo frisk's canon characterization is what takes the most squinting to uncover--we are Pretty sure that they're the one who comes up with all the ACT options and we know they're like "lol bye" as soon as the no mercy route starts, and the asriel convo linked above/their starting equipment have some Hints, but like... we get to see a Lot of chara talking at us thru the narration which def helps w/understanding their personality, but frisk pretty much does whatever we tell chara to tell them to do so figuring them out took some Deep Diving personally

this meta analysis of chara from back in the days when my friends and i were still taking fandom by the shoulders and gently explaining that undertale Does Not Have Pure Evil Characters In It And Chara Is Not The Exception is a must-read. ive heard a vanishingly tiny amount of Sekret* Canon Stuff about chara via toby's friend shelby cragg in an art livestream they did in october '15 (the like 20-30 ppl in the chat got to talking abt chara's moral nature, shelby and i were the only ones who were like "highly doubt they were intended as ~Pure Evil~", and they were planning to meet up with toby at a con so they said they'd just ask him about it directly. then they told ppl who'd finished the game what he told them in their next stream) and this meta essay is EERILY spot-on.

but like, enough about lore. lets talk SHIPS

i can deffo hook you up with quality stuff for any of these pairings (plus alphyne ofc!) when you have time to read fic :> sansgore is a rarepair that i'm personally really fond of and have written a bit for. i hate writing sans pov but there's also enough of various characters mooning over sans out there w/o me adding to it so i refuse to write any asgore pov for sansgore fics... so it's #Suffering a little bit but it's worth it to put more of the ship out there!!

frischarasriel and sansgoriel are both extremely good ot3s in my personal onion and i write and draw a Lottttttt of both charasriel and frischarasriel.

sadly a lot of the friskriel content that's out there isn't for me because it's like... g-rated healingcock (to put it a little crudely) that throws chara under the bus, but i'm personally having a lot of fun exploring their relationship as part of the ot3 + with a frisk who doesn't forgive asriel for his past bullshit/still holds him accountable but extends compassion to him nevertheless, and the ways thats affected how asriel sees them. ive got some friskriel doujins w/downright Exquisite characterization too :33
