That thing about middle children is completely true, even with parodies aside. I sort of feel like I have to write a middle-child story now, entirely on that premise. After, um, I finish the other fifteen million or maybe six stories I've got on my to-do list.

And we meet Hadri! Though I liked how he's in Avey's thoughts the entire time even before he really shows up. Now I am really hoping it won't be 20+ chapters of the unresolved, but if it gets me 20+ chapters, then I feel inclined to complain a little less XD
