Title: and thus, lunch is served.
Day/Theme: October first / coffee and a kick in the pants
Series: HanaKimi
Character/Pairing: Akiha/Umeda
Rating: PG-13
Quiet lunches spent looking out the window and sipping coffee, idly touching his cellphone and considering what to order today, these are a thing of the past.
Now there’s an idiot who comes everyday, ten minutes early with a heaping full picnic basket full of homemade food which Akiha insists on feeding to him. By hand. (Umeda does have to admit that he can’t complain about the cooking lessons Akiha has been getting from Seira, though he’s going to scream if he hears “when are you going to marry Akiha?” by one more family member.)
And today is no different, Akiha shows up early with a large picnic basket looped under one arm, and the minute the idiot sees him, Umeda is dragged, complaining all the time, to the nearest empty classroom.
This room has a nice view of the spring greenery, and Umeda settles on a desk near the large, open windows, inhaling the scent of the flowers and cut grass and damp earth, and completely ignoring the somewhat appealing scent of Akiha sitting just beside him.
Without paying attention to Akiha, he opens the basket and begins to sort through the contents, settling first on some sushi with a side of freshly prepared coffee.
“How’s the lunch?”
“Palatable.” Umeda says. Actually, it’s delicious, but hell will freeze over before he admits that.
“Uwa~ I’ve improved! Last time you said it was just ‘tolerable’!”
Umeda doesn’t even bother to reply to this one.
“You know what’d be even tastier?” Akiha says in that husky voice which could only mean one thing, that Umeda is about to be pushed down on the nearest flat surface and ravished repeatedly.
“Yes.” Umeda says, refilling the coffee in a thermos, with an almost frightening calmness, then, without even changing his expression, kicking Akiha by the seat of his pants, completely out the window.
“Coffee to go.”
