I loved the way you described the smoky club, how a call from Ryouchi sounds different to Umeda, Umeda's gradual realization that he has changed. The first part especially grabbed me, sentences like - His can still feel how the rain chilled him to the bone, because he can’t quite forget, even if told to and dropped. Because Umeda Hokuto does not simply come when he is called. - because it's driven home so well, how helpless love can make a person. (Though, yes, should be "He" instead of "His". XD) And after that, reading the last part, Umeda calling Akiha, was so satisfying and heartwarming.
