the artist is bittersweet. All happiness and torn shreds, any trace of sorrow is wiped away – simple as bit of cream on the side of his cheek. He is like any jester, and just as masked.
They are the pursuer and the pursued, the artisan, the lover and the loved.
Sometimes, the unwitting (and sometimes, unwilling) model can’t help but wonder why he’s still running.
But it is what he knows, so he resists, clings to everything that he knows (no matter how abrasive) and continues far on this cobblestone path, resisting the artist’s advances.
But, the artist does not mind, he can wait until the end of his days, and he knows hunger only makes the victory that much sweeter.
