Well, I had an hour to kill so I figured "go for it".
Title: for love is blind
Day/Theme: August 16th / I go blindly /As if I am pursuing the beauty of something / Before me but unclear.
Series: HanaKimi
Character/Pairing: Akiha, Umeda
Rating: at least in the PG-13 region
A/N: High School!Umeda through Akiha’s eyes, anyone?
Akiha did not fall in love with Umeda’s looks, his intelligence – He fell in love with his presence. The way he carried himself, If asked Akiha had a hard time explaining why – just that
the first time he saw him – the spring blossoms in the air and framed perfectly for the school ceremony that he understood everything within himself.
Akiha joined the photography club. Rarely any of his work – his actual work made it to the club. He filled entries with flowers or posed other students – none of his passion, an older student caught at lunch or after-school. They were all kept away to line his walls. All the other photography was mere diversions to these. These photos spoke every reason why more than so many love letters could.
It is here that he learned. Love is the deciding factor in skill. Akiha never showed his best work, each angle is perfect. The lighting is always soft and evocative. Had these photos been entered in contests he surely would’ve taken first prize. But these pictures, these different sides of Senpai were his, and his alone.
That year Akiha found his passion and promised himself he’d one day find a way to settle himself beside senpai.
He was sure that Senpai would see the light eventually.
