I kinda agree with that, actually--he does seem to fuss over their welfare more, and he seems to have attached himself to Sakura, whereas Kurogane plays the gruff mentor to Syaoran. Hell, I think he kinda admits it himself with that joke he played in Outo with that big/small puppy and kitten business. ^^"
