One Town's War On Gay Teens
Ugh, this article makes me want to punch things (namely people).
Though honestly, what really gets me isn't the school board---they're just your typical clueless bullshit conservative Christians who have been fed Dobson all their lives--it's the teachers. At least one of them was a gay man, and others didn't agree with the policies and yet they went along it when they KNEW children were killing themselves.
Yes, it'd get you fired, but you know what? If doing your job entails sitting back idly
while children are bullied to the point where they give up hope and try to commit suicide, then it is time to quit your damn job, or better yet, get fired because your last math class was marathoning It Gets Better videos and a lecture on how not to be a horrible hateful person.
Then going straight to GLAAD and getting yourself a fabulous gay lawyer and making a fucking stir and getting it out that children are dying.
