Yuletide has a four character limit for nominations this time around, so if any of you want to join in, but want to do it as another character, then you'll have to nom it with those characters included.
(I wanted to nominate more ~rare~ characters, but figured that I should put the main leads there too, so someone isn't cockblocked into my rare obsessions, especially if I'm not playing this year. A shame there's no Xane, Miledy, Guinevere or Merric, though.)

Fic_Promptly contest #3: I think I'm up to nineteen now? Two more days to go. Phew, I'm getting tired.
To veg out, I've been playing Radiant Historia. I've had it since summer, but was busy with other stuff, but every time I see someone write fic for it or list it as a fandom I'm all I HAVE THAT GAAME, WHY CAN I NOT OFFER OR OTHERWISE PARTICIPATE IN THIIIS? I am about chapter 1ish? Somewhere around there.
Game talk:
-This game is pretty nifty! Well, actually it's more than nifty, it's top notch. The graphics are lovely, the score is so good I actually leave the sound on (and I almost never do that, unless I'm playing TWEWY), and the plot is quite original and refreshing.
The time traveling aspect is a nifty addition, though it means you'll have to retread a lot. However, you can skip through stuff easily by pushing start, so there's that. Also, an interesting aspect is that you have to play both histories at once. You can't just choose one and go linearly through it. For example, earlier on in one path, my informant never came in. Then on the other path, my explosives never came in. So to get both lines going right, I had to go to the mines in the Roasch route to meet the informant, then save the explosives seller in the working with Heiss route. That way I met the informant and got the explosives. It was causing me fits for a moment there, but once I got the hang of it, I realized as soon as I needed a new ability or ran into an issue, I'd just have to explore the other history and see what I needed to get done.
It's also full of a plot of political intrigue and takes a more varied route than your usual hack-n-slash journeys.
I think Myaru would like it a lot, though I recommend it to most, especially if you loved Ogre Battle, or Atlus games in general.
predictions (possible spoilers if they come true)
-Heiss is either the holder of the Black Chronicle, or a pawn of the holder.
-it's a God Is Evil plot. (Or at least, the prophet Noah has it all wrong)
-Heiss is behind the desertfication, or at least he's being used to further it.
-most all of the officers are bad. I know Hugo is corrupt, and Heiss is obviously pretty evil. The jury is out on Raul and Viola.
-The Roasch route is the "True history" because going with Heiss history will only lead to a whole lot of WHAT HAVE I DOOONE and maybe the world ending.
random:
-Selvan and Dios are kind of really gay. It doesn't help that Dios is ~pretty and witty and gossipy and bitchy. And that they refer to it as 'our kingdom'.
-Man does Raynie ever want to jump Stocke's bones. IDK how I feel about Raynie, actually. She's pretty, and I don't hate her or anything, but she doesn't exactly make me breathless with her awesome (yet, at least.) And when given the chance, I generally trade Roasch in for her, because he has these really cool whole grid attack skills, and he has amazing DEF+HP. Dude is a one man army killer. He doesn't have any magic, but I haven't gotten any good enough spells or any enemies which you really need magic to warrant a plus over his grid attacks and tank status.
-jfskdl; KIEL IS ADORABLE. And now he's developed this Franz-esque hero worship thing on Stocke, which he even openly admits to. It's really cute. I don't know that I ship it, given that Stocke is such a stoic that he makes Hotch look outgoing and spontaneous by comparison so he isn't exactly easy to ship around, but Kiel's adoration is cute. I wonder if I can ever get him on my team....
-Also there's this thing where half the time it seems like Stocke is dating Sonja and Roasch. So if I added some other pairing, it'd be like they'd go into yet another degree of poly—-Lin would approve.
-I have barely even gotten to Eruca yet, and I still want to ship her with ALL THE GIRLS. IDEK why, just. I want femslash for Eruca. (Actually, upon seeing the character art for Raynie and Eruca I was all I WANT FEMSLASH FOR THAT. DON'T ASK ME WHY, I JUST DO.)
-I still want porn for that, by the way.
-Aht is adorable, and the Satyros are actually a pretty good implementation of a mythical creature you don't see too often.
-I'm hoping (big thing I accidentally spoiled myself for when poking around the other person's file, sob) Kiel's death can be averted. I know Roasch's, Raynie's and Marco's can be fixed, so I'm hoping Kiel isn't gone for good ;_;.
At least I can console myself that he's alive in the history where Stocke made a stupid choice and stayed with Heiss.
