I absolutely adore the fact that Shinji who, no matter what world he lives in, never feels he deserves or has anyone's love, just seems to melt into the unconditional love that Kowaru has for him.
And not only do I get the normal of-course-they-love-each-other-and-are-made-for-one-another feeling from this fic, but I also get actual confirmation through their Sacrifice/Fighter bond that Kowaru was made for Shinji, and vice versa. It's a beautiful thing to see Shinji have irrefutable proof that he and Kowaru fit together like two parts of one being.
