fic: I'll Protect You!
Title: I’ll Protect You!

Character/Pairing: crackfic. Zelos/everyone

A/N: 31 fic meme, for 30 protective character. Lin asked for Zelos~ I didn't tag most of the other pairing hints because I really doubt I'll ever use say, the "Zelos/Presea" tag
1.
“Don’t worry my sweet little angel, Colette – I’ll protect you!”
Colette beamed up at him. Her translucent wings fluttered, happily, Zelos thought, though he was no expert on angels.
“Thanks,” she said. She took two steps and began to tumble – before he caught her.
She smiled again, that made of light and sunshine smile that almost made him believe and then, all the wounds and soreness, it was all worth it.

“I’ll—”
Kratos sliced through an enemy, his sword cleaving the vicious creature in half as if it was made something soft, as opposed to the armored monster that it was.
“You know what? Screw that, you can protect your own damn self”

“I’ll--”
“...”
Regal flipped into the air and did amazing things with his feet. In fact, it was kinky and kind of amazing all in one. Zelos was vaugely turned on. No, wait, he wasn’t at all, really–!
“Nevermind,” Zelos said.

“I’ll protect you, my cute little Presea!”
“Error. I do not need ‘protection’ from a weaker lifeform...”
“Aw man, you didn’t have to put it that way...”

“You know, Zelos, you’ve been hanging around Raine a lot during battle,” Lloyd said.
“That’s right! I’m protecting the Super Ultra Cool Beauty Queen! The great Chosen one won’t let her be harmed, ever! My sword is yours, my lady, I am your knight~”
“I bet he’s just trying to ensure he gets all the healing and doesn’t hurt his face,” Genis sneered.
“Hey brat, shut your trap.”
Raine looked up from fixing her staff.
“If you keep fighting I’ll have to assume you have a thing for each other.”
That effectively silenced them for the rest of the night. At least muting them to glares and mutted insults just below her range of hearing.

“I’m going to protect you,” Zelos said, all too sweetly with a saccharine smile.
And Genis knew he was getting his payback.

Lloyd flipped through the air in and sliced the monster into several pieces on contact, his red clothing masked the blood which Zelos had to admire. He wished he’d taken along more of a red suit, he was constantly having to wash his own white and pink ensemble with bleach to get the stains out, and if traveling taught him anything, it was that stains were hard to get out of a white pants.
But he couldn’t let Lloyd get all the attention. So he figured he’d ‘protect’ Lloyd, if only to be the MVP of battle for once
However, Lloyd didn’t always get it.
“Hey, Hey!” Zelos said. “I’m protecting you!”
“Oh, uh.” Lloyd said. Already the monsters were lying in bloody heaps around him.
“Better luck next time?” Lloyd said.
